Enjoy... But remember
"Don't give in to winning the argument
and losing one of your eternal crowns..."

Hi Edmund,
Yes, it's been a while. Good to know you're doing well and glad to read your responses. Roman Catholicism is a force to be reckoned with, sad to say. The thing about it is that it always has that ounce of truth amidst its heresy. Most RC dogmas begin with some biblical truth and halfway it goes bad. As such, it takes a bit of effort to sift out the truth from the falsehood and if we are not careful, they will come across as legitimate. Actually, I have seen quite many summaries of Roman Catholicism. They are all good summaries but I feel that because they are only summaries, they are not really arguments. In other words, there is little cross-examination and as such, it is incomplete. Boettner had a list and look at how the Roman Catholics go at it. It is not indefensible but that's the point, it needs to be further defended. What I have done instead is to save all my postings in Word format, hence, it is not difficult to retrieve pertinent information quickly. But it really depends on the type and direction of the claim Roman Catholics make in each post. I think if you are thinking of 10-15 points, I think Boettner's list is a good start. (But watch this - I'm sure the next few posts from the Roman Catholics will be about how misleading Boettner's list is). At the moment, I just want to make sure that every argument presented by Roman Catholics is soundly rebutted. One thing I agree with you is the extent of twist and turn Roman Catholics need to resort to in order to harmonise history with RC dogmas. It's incredible they are not able to see the anachronism, the inconsistencies and the extrabiblical-ness of what they believe. It's sad but we will just have to keep at it and let the Holy Spirit do the rest. Take care. Christopher
