For someone who can equate a temple with a church building, your methodology is most suspects and wanting...RTC
Frank; In the contexts where I put it succinctly, my emphasis is about the necessity of gatherings which necessitates a Place; and A place I wouldn’t mind that it should be called a church. RTC is indeed myopics. The core message in that discussions is about large gatherings, which actually you lost that arguments! How you turn it around as though that I fumble is interesting. What is a Church? As you have also define it as a body of believers. A place where people gather in Buildings; so it was called Church Buildings. The Church meant, a meeting place of believers. That is the whole idea; where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name there am I in the midst of you. Do you have other definitions that I am not aware of? RTC; +That’s fact remains that the NT knows only the expression of church in the non-institutional form. That’s how I use the term “house church” Frank. It is in contrast to the institutional church, it is not about meeting in houses only (which is your narrow definition of house church). Frank; now you talk about expressions.Fine.So you are saying not merely meeting in house only. Fine. What about I Cs?[institution church] 1,Where do you get the Bible? If not for the unity of Christian; with the combinations of resources; pulled together...does you not get it from Institutions like the Bible Society which sell it to you, at’charity’price? 2,where do you get commentaries of Bible? If not for the I C , combine efforts, research, etc..How do you think you could have your commentaries? 3,the wisdom of this world, the children of darkness is wiser than Children of Light! Must it be so, for us? Any mammoth projects, which require resources, manpower, and combine efforts. We just cannot afford to be split into smaller groups, where the impact cannot match the goliath of this world! Monies, manpower, specific skills of individuals, talents,etc...All these huge gigantic task can only be tackled by I Cs.Either you wake up, or you are still sleeping, or have lapse back to folly to the extreme, should you persist to advocate false biblical doctrines. 4,The entire early Church of believers are very much subjected to the counsels of the Elders, and the Apostles.Undisputed.The wise leadership, of James, Peter, Paul...which they work with great zeal, were great efforts combines by the many thousands of believers, that move His cause. It has no pattern, or substance of what you are trying to advocate at all. RTC: You yourself know that the way we do things is far from what the Scripture... Frank; Must I give you brief summaries of what transpired from Acts 1...? I am telling you major things and directly from scriptures. Lord instructs His 120 followers to wait for the promise. This is the turning point. They received power. They spoke in tongues. They preached boldly the gospel. They did miracles...they had common sharing...they submitted to Church leadership...They had unity...they gather in Temple by the thousands. They gather in House groups...Peter; we must follow his examples; so to speak. Pray for the sick. Raised the dead.etc... They had large converts by the many thousands...so big rally is a must to comply with similar instructions. How to get large numbers of believers in House Groups expressions? Of course we need big rallies, attract large crowds; and RTC better support and not idly stand by and oppose! The only weird expressions, as I have said in reply to RTC’s about the expressions of smallness mentality; and failure mentality! I only see RTC's wishes ills to great harvesting of souls; and great effectiveness in spreading the gospels. In very short and true words,” Let there be no success in ICs churches, and may less souls enter the Church Buildings”. In clear words, RTC has no, or absolutely no interest for Our Lord's Kingdom at all. Only his personal faulty agendas! ABOUT HURTS FROM IC s , we all know this is sometimes inevitable. We are willing to bear the brunt of insults from carnal Minister, for His Kingdom. Why? We just cannot focus on ourselves, and neglect the weightier matters of the course. People gave much to IC s and IC s instead of grateful to that individual who gave much time and efforts; most of its efforts are free in fact; yet the donor received bad treatments. Donate much funds for the buildings; and after its being completed, the anonymous donor wants to borrow, also cannot. Silly is because,she/he gives anonymously in obedient to scriptures, not knowing his leaders does not subscribe to scriptures! Gave, must put name down, so to be recognise, is it? Can I ask Leaders, that; can I follow the Bible by not putting my name down in givings? But, contrary to RTC, s present thinking; we as Christian are gladly suffering the injustices; the silent ones. We rather are being defrauded, than to defraud others. We rather eat dead-cat. And we are willing to eat dead- cat...But will you? We see a lot of imperfections in the lives of many people. We cannot shoot all of them down. It will be no work at all, if all imperfect people resigned! It is true love that we rather be quiet, accept the brunt’s of misunderstanding; being marginalised, and cast aside...we love no more the applause of men, but only applause of Father and approval of Master! We would rather take it, laying down or hands down...no bitterness, but love! We just want Him and His Kingdom to grow. Every works in Churches are very dear in His heart, and passions.ICs has her strength, and house groups has her nimbleness. Both are needed.Case closed.
