The early church, being Jewish, could very freely gather in the temple grounds because being Christians did not mean they weren't Jews suddenly. There were still Jews and still observe the various feasts. But they no longer approach the temple for sacrifices for sin, or as something to earn then merit from God. The temple became a strategic place for preaching the Gospel and this is what we find the apostles doing on the few recorded instances. It was their preaching that caused the temple authorities to arrest them. It wasn't the church service, it was the preaching of the Gospel. You have to get that clear. Bible si gong beh liao eh. |
