I read some articles here where some were suggesting that wine is fine. Are you quoting Paul to Timothy? In the Pauline epistle, what Paul meant was 1 part wine (grape wine) and 10 parts water. Paul was certainly not advocating beers, gins, rums, whiskys, brandys,....By the way if you are saying that it is okay to drink as long as you don't get drunk, that is a very dangerous statement to be made by a Christian.
