Enjoy... But remember

There is therefore, a split as to whether at the Wedding at Cana Jesus produced intoxicating wine. At best, from your position, it COULD be unfortified wine. However, it seems to be reading too much into scripture, given that the same word used elsewhere by Paul is to warn against intoxication eg Eph 5:18, 1 Tim 3:8, 5:23 etc. It supports fermented wine alot more than unfermented wine.
I see no slander on Christ's character to produce very fine wine, those that are of the fermented variety. Given by God, it is to be enjoyed. Just like any other food, overeating and overdrinking is due to the excesses of the consumer, not the Creator. Extending this to the logical end, then God is wrong in creating food, or a stomuch for us as it can lead to gluttony. In fact, given the comments of the host about how usually good wine is served, and, when the guests are suitably inebriated, then the bad wine is served, would imply quite strongly that the wine is fortified. The reasonings given by your quotes seem strained to the meaning in context. At best again, you and your lot who are convinced that wine is not good, do not consume it, lest it causes you to stumble. But please do not preach it as a Biblical imperative. Only excesses are condemned, like love of money rather than money itself.
