In many foods and drinks, too much of them will cause health problems too but abstinence is not the solution.

Drinking too much grape juice will cause hardening of arteries (too much Vitamin C). Eating too much salt will definitely burden our kidneys. Should we avoid altogether ?

All this puritan (just like the Pharisees) thinking may be a big hindrance to the acceptance of the Gospel.
