All my posting has its source from here....

My convictions are with the author. I believe all your questions would be answered in these study. As for me I think I would remain a Puritan. Why is it bad to be one??? For the word of God commands us to be Holy for He is Holy. We don't need to lower Biblical standards for the heathen world. But we don't need to force it down their throats either. We just need to love them and teach them to love Jesus with all their hearts, mind, strength...Holiness comes naturally to someone who loves Jesus truly.

If the Lord convicts me that fermented wine is wrong, then I would not consume it even if the world suggests to me (even scientifically) that it is good. To me it is about obedience. For God placed the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden and commanded Adam and Eve not to eat of the tree. Not because the fruit was poisonous (for Eve after tasting it found that it was good) or bad tasting, but just because he wanted them to obey Him.

Come on do you really think that Jesus would create fermented wine at the wedding in Cana after the guests had consumed all the available wine? Wouldn't he be advocating drunkeness if he did? What kind of a God would he be then?

Stand on the word of God not on your own rational thoughts. This would be my last posting on this topic unless it really warrants as I believe that the indicated site has all the answers for my convictions. Happy reading. I pray that he who has an eye may see and that he who has an ear may listen....God bless all of you
