and losing one of your eternal crowns..."

Yes of course everyone is fully aware of how the events concluded in Ex 7. My question is what makes us so sure that the current works of all those who claim to be God's servants are in fact genuine. Perhaps it just as genuine as Pharaoh's magic rods. Could it be that we are right now in the interim phase where these 'false prophets' works are just about to be exposed by God's unchanging truth? Just as how Moses's rod 'ate' the magician's rods, so will God's truth eat up these false prophets lies in the very near future. Proponents will always say that we should look at the many lives that have been changed by the ministries of these con artistes. The same proponents somehow never seem to acknowledge that there are too many instances of a so-called 'life-changing' experience which lasts only for an hour. Is this how the Holy Spirit works? God is NOT in the business of putting on a show full of drama. GOD IS IN THE BUSINESS OF TRUE REDEMPTION. I never said that we should ignore ALL signs and wonders, or judge all ministries etc. Not nice to put words into other people's mouths. On the contrary, I strongly encourage all to 'test every spirit' by the full authority of the written Word. GOD COMMANDS US TO DO THAT! Are we going to disobey God? If the 'ministries' in question pass God's explicit test, then let's keep them 'honest' by counter checking on them! |
