can always cry all you want...but is crying a fruit of the Spirit? One of the fruit of the Spirit is JOY. One can joyful with or without laughing I agree. I did'nt say laughing have to be uncontrollable for God definitely has more self-control than anyone else. But if God can laugh in disgust at the wicked (Ps 37:13) and Jesus rejoiced exuberantly at the report from His disciples in seeing many people set free from demonic oppression, then we should rejoice in whatever degree of joy one is comfortable in. Some people are hilarious by nature and laugh at the slightest joy they see others exhibiting while others are set free from their depression when the Holy Spirit give them the joy that releases them to be able to laugh while He is in the midst. That's when sometimes the whole meeting seem to turn hilarious. But it is not always that way. (And the pastor can always teach when the time comes for it.) In fact, many have stopped the meetings and so we're back to 'soberiety' in church but society can still have a good laugh all around us in the stadiums & cinemas but the church have to be quiet like some places i rather not mentioned.

Nothing wrong (but sad to say) with going back to the old ways if the Church leaders thinks its more helpful in case immature christians think its a new doctrine, when actually its just one manifestation of the Holy Spirit to set the Church free from its inhibitions of having an outward form of silent worship due to traditions inherited from past Church history.
