Hi Interested:

>>>So the Theory of Evloution that we descended form Homo Erectus is now shown to be false....<<<

The article said that modern humans (Homo Sapiens Sapiens) did not mate with the archaic humans, Homo Erectus (although strictly speaking, H.Erectus is not really archaic humans, these being H.Sapiens). When two species breaks off, one of the major characteristics is an absence of inter-breeding, or even if they breed, they can't produce fertile offsprings.

In this case, since H.Sapiens Sapiens is a distinct species from H.Erectus, it is not surprising that they did not mate. When I look at the fossil skulls of H.Erectus, I can understand why modern humans don't want to mate with it, haha. However, that does not mean one did not evolve from the other.

Imagine a population of H.Erectus in Africa. A sub-population breaks off and due to environmental differences, started developing features independently of the original population. After some time, they developed enough differences (one of which is increased brain capacity) that prevented them from breeding with the original H.Erectus. In time, with better intelligence and hence better survival skills, this group replaces H.Erectus as the dominant species on this planet.

Not trying to argue for evolution, but just to feedback what I have read about human origins from the evolutionary perspective. Hoepfully provide a better understanding of what the "other" side is saying.

Regards.
