Harassment from Christians

Hey you all Im feeling really frustrated at the moment and pretty put off by you Christians. Two wks ago I responded to an invitation (dorr knock at my door) to watch a Christian video at a strangers house. I was curious so I went. Since then, alamak, these people have been chasing me to go to their church, attend their cell groups etc etc etc. One girl at the video morning was quite friendly and invited me to her house for dinner the next week and I thought it was a genuinely friendly invite but when I showed up, I got the shock of my life cos the pastor was also there and he preached to me the whole night. I didnt even get to know the host and hostess. Today, I saw this girl again and she basically harassed me with question after question like "Do you want to know the Lord?. Its either yes or no so I dont understand why you cant decide now." "You are so closed. You are not telling me why you dont want to receive the Holy Spirit." What happened to you all? I told her honestly that things take time and I am not comfortable telling her (someone Id just met the wk before) the things she was demanding of me. Her reply was " You might get run over and wont be able to receive Jesus. Come on, do you want to know the Lord or what?" And so it went on the entire visit. I really feel very hurt and frustrated that all I am to you Christians is a potential convert, without any regard to wanting to know who I am. I felt really harassed by her persistant and sometimes rude insistence on answering her questions. You Christians out there seem to know nothing about gentle cultivation of trust and friendship. This girl even had the audacity to say to me "If you just came to my house for dinner just for a social, then we can just look at photos. But if you came to my house searching for the Lord, then why dont you accept Him now" This is the sort of experience that scares me further and further from stepping into a church.
