Hi SK,
FYI, I once believe in Trinity becoz many believes so. I found that there are too much confusion and I was always told to believe by faith. But one day, someone approached me and show me the oneness doctrine. My eyes were opened and many of my doubts was cleared. You said "Before we can embrace the doctrine of the Oneness of God, i think we have to ask ourselves what does all the Creeds in past church councils have to tell us? Are all these Creeds formulated out of thin air to be thrown aside by a later 'discovery' of a certain group of Christians? Did the newer group really do a proper exegesis or they read their conjecture of what God is like into the various scriptures raised up previously?" Oneness do not believes in the Creeds. We only believes in the Bible. The Creeds are just like the additional books of the Catholic. Anyway, the Creeds are written by trinitarians, which of course is biased. Oneness doctrine is not a later "discovery". It is the earliest doctrine. Trinity, on the other hand, is a developed doctrine in the 4th century.
