Dear Frankie, We Catholics also have Charismatic Masses and cell groups too. But saying Excorism is a norm.....I don't dare to think. There are degrees od Possession and Obessession. And these often happened in a Christian Retreat, or when a group is trying to plant a new Church. The test is there. Lonely, and neglected people are usually made captive by the devil and usually the devil kept his motive secretive. The hatred and self-despise of a victim grow generally and from his heart, a devilish response to human nature, it may be harmless to others but to the victim himself instead, it all depends on the Devil's ploit. If you are trying to say that casting demons is a chicken feet task, I would advise you don't under-estimate the different kinds of demonic power. Priests of over-estimating his own capability resulted in fatal death. Casting of the demons are not nowadays affair, but ever since the early days of human. I rely on teachings based on The Book Of Excorism and on the Early Churches' teachings. A website may help you understand more. Casting of demons are not Traditional, Charismatic issues anymore. But a task for some of us to carry, as everyone has got his/her own roles to play in a body of Christ. The words became flesh. Upon visitation of old Churches in San Domingo, St Michael, Church of England, Lutheran Churches( German Protestant Churches), I consulted the Bishops and Deans upon Exorcism. Meditation and prayers are used widely by some but not all the priests.Again I tell you, a priest who knew that himself aren't condfident in a certain Exorism will turn to another priest. The devil must be made to confess his name and nature, and its intention and plannings. Generally, the way of Exorcism rites between the Western and Eastern churches are different. I mean all have their ways of casting ritual. Or are you trying to boast that you are a Great Exorcist, a Great Speaker, and a Great person sent by God which you mention earlier in the other issues?
