Hi Edmund:

I didn't want to get "involved" in this debate since I consider it something of a domestic squabble. You guys will probably still end up on the same bed at the end of the day, haha (only according to me of course). Moreover, I just remembered I have two unanswered posts from Benjamin about evil and evolution.

You said, "Truth is a matter of point of view."

On first thought, this seems valid. Like, is the glass half-empty or half-full? Both points of views are equally true. But does this have universal application? For eg, is the statement "There is no god" as true as "There is a god"? Depends on how you look at it? Or is Truth something that is more concrete, more black and white? Or is it about probability?

In the context of your debate with RCs, they are as equally convinced of their "Truth" as you are of yours. Evolutionists are equally convinced of their "Truth" as creationists are. But can we all be correct?

You use the bible as your yardstick. Someone else may use science or history or logic. Whose "point of view" gives the ultimate truth, as in objective truth if there is such a thing, not just "point of view" or "subjective" truth?

I'm sure there are some philosophical musings on this thing called Truth. So what is my point? Hmm........perhaps that if you guys are using the bible as your reference book to debate, you will never reach any "objective" truth (as distinct from "subjective" truth), as 500 years of church history have shown.

Regards.
