Dear Anti Devil,
Yes, Satan is a great foe that we should not underestimate. However, while he is certainly much more powerful than any human, he is but a fellow creation of God, and we must certainly not ascribe to him equal power with God. God is omnipresent and omniscient; Satan can only be in one place at a time, and he certainly doesn't know what's going to happen in the future any more than we do (just read his over-confident boasts at the start of the book of Job). Most importantly, even Satan can only do what is within God's will. Thus, while Satan *can* have much power over us, he cannot overcome us ultimately if we turn to God for help -- hence, from this perspective, the weakest link truly is *ourselves*, for it all depends on how much we depend on God. To the original poster -- real spiritual breakthroughs come only when we stop relying on our own strength and our own wills ("what strategy should I use to solve this problem?", "if I become a better person, all my problems will be solved", etc), and start to surrender ourselves totally to God and depend entirely on Him to fend for us ("I know that God will help me to solve this problem", "God will help to solve my problems, and He will make me a better person", etc). Pray to God not because He is a "vending machine" selling easy solutions, but because you wish to know His will and do it, and so surrender yourself entirely to Him. In God's kingdom, the best way to winning is surrendering. May the Lord bless you and keep you. kelvin lim
