Enjoy... But remember
"Don't give in to winning the argument
and losing one of your eternal crowns..."

The present Archbishop of Canterbury, George Carey says, "However, in urging you to respect the intricate relationship of Bible to Church I would not wish to undermine the very foundational character of Holy Scripture. All church tradition is subservient to it.... Take the formulation of 'God in Three Persons' which became the doctrine of the Trinity in the late fourth century. It was an authoritative theological statement of one of the profound mysteries of our faith, opening up riches of doctrinal perception for the ages to come, all of which have successively recognised its truth and explored it. Yet few scholars would deny that the argument behind it is rooted in concepts derived from forth-century Greek culture and philosophy, much of it deeply alien to our thought today." So I think we need to seriously study and find out as much as we can about the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as revealed to us in the NT. After all, theology is the study of God. |
