Hi Interested,
It is true that the terms Triune God and Trinity are not in the Bible. But that does not mean that there is no Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost in the Bible. ***We did not deny that there is Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost in the Bible. We deny that FSH are 3 distinct persons. FSH are only God in 3 different roles. If I were to be rebaptised in the Name of Jesus only, then to me, it means I deny the existence of the Father and the Holy Ghost. This is contrary to the plain teachings of the Bible everywhere and to me it means I have left the christian faith. ***To baptise in Jesus name means to baptise in the name of the FSH because the FULNESS of the Godhead is in Jesus Col 2:9. Col 3:17 says "And whatsoever ye DO in WORD or DEED, do all in the NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, giving thanks to God and the Father by him" I don't know what the status is, before God, of those who get rebaptised in the Name of Jesus after being baptised in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. To me it means to reject the plain teachings of the Scriptures and to accept man's interpretation of it. We have a 1001 interpretation for almost everything in the Bible. Why should I accept any one of them? ***Those disciples are rebaptised after being baptised unto repentance(John's baptised), and NOT after they are baptised in the name of the FSH. Those baptised unto John's baptism have no knowledge of FSH baptism because the commandment of baptism in FSH was only given after John's baptism. Acts 19:3 - And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. It means to renounce the christian faith and to accept "another god". That is how I see it. ***If what you said is true, then you are also accepting another god because you also agree that there are problems with the triune God. You don't believe in 3 distinct persons, right? I see it differently. I believe we worship the same God but the different is that we have the revelation of the Godhead. There is a certain scripture(can't remember)which said something like "as long as Jesus name is preached...." All of us preached the name of Jesus, do you think we are all one family? Jesus Loves
