Dear friend .. Doctrine, doctrine, doctrine ... He who does not understand doctrine will be prey to Satan? No, my friend. He who is of weak spirit, and who walketh not with the Lord will be prey to Satan's misleading. Doctrine? What is doctrine? We have so many today ... Our 'magnificent' theologians have thought up so many ... What is essential doctrine and what is not? Can you tell the difference any longer? For the commandments may be summed up as such," Love thy God with all thy .." and "Love thy neighbor as thyself" .. do this and ye shall live. We have indulged in so much thought, and not practised even one of these. Those warned to practise sound doctrine in the epistles and letters are those who have created theological problems for themselves, by hypothesising and pseudo-theologizing the untrue. Now I do admit that theological problems are a headache. But why do we have them in the first place? Because of people who think too much to get around the bends, and create shortcuts for themselves, attempt to create this thing called 'SPIRITUAL INTELLECTUALITY', and make their spiritual knowledge seem really way higher than it actually is, and do not spend sufficient time practising the above two commandments. in Christ, your friend.
