I agree absolutely. We should allow Scripture to interpret Scripture whenever possible as in Romans 1:11.

  Note that I did not expound on this Verse other than the misrendering of the word "didomi" or "metado" in the Greek. Usually a hard scripture can be understood if we read the whole context if the section of scripture instead of pulling it out and separating it from the other verses around it.

No prophecy of Scripture is of any private(idias GK)[one's own] interpretation ......Either it interprets itself or it cannot be interpreted. But we must use good tools and techniques to allow the scriptures to interpret themselves.

BTW: The translators were not infallible.
