Enjoy... But remember
"Don't give in to winning the argument
and losing one of your eternal crowns..."

Dear Christopher, Yes, I was refering to sign gifts. And no they are not gone. In spite of the eloquent but flawed argumnents you offer, the gifts ( All of Them ) remain in place and at work in the Church today. Thank God ! I will not be moved. Yes, there are forgeries and false prophets and false apostles. But this does not negate the true ones. I am saddened by the unbelief of cessationists who will limit the power of the Holy Spirit with their lack of faith. You keep suggesting I read and reread this person and that person ( cessationsits) but I have already read this stuff so much over the years that I am sick of it. I would much rather read the Bible and those things that will help me to more be able manifest the power of The Holy Spirit in my life. No, the gifts are not gone. God did not remove them. The Theologians did. The gifts are only gone for those who deny them and seek to deny them to others. The argument is the same today as it was in 1977 when I began to take my Christianity seriously. Nothing has changed except that many people are begining to question cessationism and move closer to God in their lives. Let us agree to disagee and move on. Your Brother in Christ Bill Roth |
