The common element in all these instances is God's sovereign will to heal, not the recipient's or any others' faith... by Chris.
Frank:Contrary to what you suggest, the common elements was Faith. It was not the suggestions of God's sovereignty. 1,Centurion servant (Matt 8:5-13), Matthew 8;10...I have not found such great Faith with anyone in Isreal...By Jesus. Clearly,in this instances, the Centurion's Faith is enormously highlighted. But how is it that you overlook this vital facts,is a mystery to me. Chris:Secondly, the bible does not support the thesis that faith is required all the time for miracles to take place: These are healings without the faith of the recipient: a centurion's servant (Matt 8:5-13), a paralytic (Matt 9:2-8), two blind men (Matt 9:27-31), a blind and mute man (Matt 12:22). Frank:The Bible does support that Faith is required. But was it at the recipient's end for miracles to occur? One fact that is clear,"Jesus' Faith is evident".So in other words,Faith is definitely required,be it at recipient's end or at the Administer Hands. Matthew 9;2 ..Jesus seeing their Faith...The paralytic's friends had Faith, and God honoured that, too. From the above,I can see that you have mistaken notions of the scriptures, but I feel you are just misled by some Books. The woman's with the issue of blood for twelve years;it was[recipient's]her faith that made her whole.Jesus said that, clearly. Chris;. Sign gifts have ceased but not miracles. Frank:I think you have confused yourself with Sign Gifts and miracles. I hope the above corrections will put matters in perspectives. God bless.Regards.
