Damien, Can you show us one single Scripture where we are encouraged to pray to Mary ? Can you show us one single record in the Scriptures where a dead "saint" was prayed to ? You see Damien, This is why the "German Monk" broke off. It was because of false doctrines and practices of Roman Catholic Church, such as you feel the need to defend on this board. So how many people did the Roman Catholic Church have executed between say 450 ad through the 17th century ? You see Damien, Your brand of Roman Catholicism would have me burned at the stake if it were not for civil laws preventing it. Who are you trying to convince ? Or are you just posting as an antagonist?. Mat 6:7(KJV) But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 1Timothy 2:5 (KJV) For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Only one mediator! Jesus Christ. Not Mary, not the Pope, not the priest. No one but Jesus Christ. Rom 8:34 Who [is] he that condemneth? [Is it] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Hebrews 7:22 - 25 (KJV) 22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. 23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: 24 But this [man], because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Rommans 8 (KJV) 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God. Damien, Have you ever considered reading a Bible ? God Bless BR |
