Dear Emmanuel,

I hope you do not think I was throwing a rock at you on this. I was not. I would have posted the same thing to any Prodestant as well if "cut and paste" theology is used to defend a position or doctrine. And I will. It is not a Prodestant/Catholic thing at all. Poor exegesis is the issue.

As this is supposed to be a Theological discussion board, we must at least try to use good Bible interpretation techniques. Both Prodestant and Catholic's alike.

Emmanuel, I can see where both Catholic and Prodestant beliefs and doctrines are correct. I can also see where both Catholic and Prodestant doctrines are in error.

I say this at the expense of being chastized by my Prodestant Bretheren. I can take it. I will ultimately answer to God.

Neither group has a corner on the truth in my opinion. The Catholic church has changed it's position on many things over it's history. Likewise the Prodestant Church has much discord an schism within itself. I am interested in the Truth and reserve the right to change my mind at anytime. I am not here to defend Prodestantism as I am not "locked in" to any Prodestant denomination or rigid system of belief. I think for myself. But I will point out bad Theology to anyone if I think it will be helpful. It just happened to be your post that caught my eye this time. Take it as a loving challenge to hone your skills in exegesis and as an encouragement to handle the Scriptures in a responsible manner.

I hope you see where I am comming from.

Your Brother in Christ
Bill
