Dear Philgrim, Actually, I am not against any Protestants at all, really, so do other Catholics. Lets talk about in Singapore only, several unpleasant account happened onto me and some other Catholics. Some of the denomination minstry helpers are sharing Gospel in the public. I do admire that Protestants are very gifted in encouragement to share the Lord's good news. When they approached me.......I only recieve cold water being poured on me........... Just take my Brother Xavier, who is my Dad's godson for an example, on Feb this year, a group of Christians are sharing gospel at Somerset MRT station exit opp Orchard Emerald Shopping Ctr. One of them, a girl approached him and asked whether he was free for 5-10 mins of a sharing, so he agreed and another 2 of the group came to join the conversation. She asked Xavier whether he is a christian, of course he replied, " Yes". Then very next question is, " Which church are you from ? " Xavier replied, " Novena Church ". Their faces turned pale and they tried to convince Xavier that Catholic Doctrines are man-made and artificial, he must try to join their church { Better not to say). Another guy asked Xavier why is he praying to idols in Church and took out his tool/weapon, a Bible and attacked Theologically on Xavier. Being annoyed, he called me my office and spoke to me, I told Xavier to find an excuse to slip away but never argue back with them as I know he enjoys arguing doctrines and dogmas with protestants. Well, this is just one example which is a true account. Do you know how it hurt our heart when they treat us like this? Why don't they say this to Muslims or Hindu. Buddhists? Maybe there is, but I don't dare to say. I am only a Catholic Faith defender, if anyone who disagree with my articles, just leave it, hope that you understand that if a duck were to speak to a chicken, no results will bear a fruit. Only mild bodily languages give some hints. I place my life in Christ's hand, I put my total trust in Him. If we cannot talk about our religious belief together, we can still respect one another and live in harmony! Right? Christianity is not something about racial or nation, its about the entire human kind. Maybe their intentions are good to help us, Catholics, but their way of reaction and message to us in such a manner is not very.......how should I put it in words? Well for me, Emmanuel, there was once a Chrismatic brethren told me that I should try very very hard to do prayers in tongues. He taught many people to pray in tongues........To me, this is a gift from God and should not be forced upon others. Lastly, I can conclude that for nothin done to us, most of The catholics are not against Protestants, in Singapore I mean, haha. Sincerely from my heart, Emmanuel
