Dear, I do agree with you that most of the young Catholics follow sort of their parents' cultural and tradition. Well my parents? My Dad is an Anglican and my Mum is from buddhist to Methodist, me? Haha, was an Anglican, but wasn't active in church since my teens, during my NS, I got converted to through the rites of acceptance in the Catholic Community. I do agree with you, its not traditional preservation that we get to Christ, but our understanding and faith that leads. Many Christians born into a Christ's family do not treasure the actual truth that they are blessed into a good family, when they attend a confirmation course, when the priest ask, " Why do you come for a confirmation course and what is the meaning of getting confirmed?" The candidate may answer," Because my parents asked me to or just for the sake of obeying authority. I feel that this is sad and they must be led by a mature believer in order to guide them along with the Holy Spirit and Priest for further understanding. Well, I think you got a point there, thanks!
