Dear Christopher,
The quote used comes from a mediaeval legend that an angel appeared to St. Mark when he was traveling from Aquileia (at the head of the Adriatic) to Rome. The angel said to him: "Pax tibi, Marce, evangelista meus. Hic requiescet corpus tuum," which means: "Peace unto thee Mark my evangelist. Here your body will rest." So he is merely using part of it, while substituting "Mark" with Calvinist in reference to you. (and with the "veni sancte spiritus" as the greeting) Pax!
