It contained other civil and ceremonial laws. Under Passover the blood was sprinkled on the door. This book was blood-sprinkled, even as were the people. Under Pentecost, was sprinkled on the people and the book. Compare Exodus 24:8 with Matthew 26:28. Both Moses and Jesus speak of the " Blood of the Convenant". This Book of Convenant was kept in the side of the Ark of the Convenant (Deu 31:9-15,24-26). Its was the responsibility of the priests and Levites to teach the 12 tribes the laws of the Lord, as the church in the wilderness, or the Old Convenant church (Acts 7:38). The New Testament fulfilmant is in the writing of the NT books, subsequent to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. The NT books are blood-sprinkled, sprinkled by the blood of Jesus. The New Convenant people are also blood-sprinkled, for it is the Spirit who apllies the blood of cleansing. It is also the responsibility and ministry of the Church to teach God's people the New Convenant commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ ( Matt 26:26-28, Heb 9:11-22, Eph 4:9-16). Bill, hope these help you a bit too, I will write on the Revelation of the Tabernacle Order tommorow or the day after. Examine the articles and form a picture in your mind or you can sketch them out! Happy researching! God Bless you, Emmanuel |
