Dear RTC, I admire your keeness to express and deny Peter as the rock, if Jesus is that particular large rock, he would straight away say , "on myself I will build this church" No need to go one big round and cause contradictions right? Do not say the pope is defending his stand nor I can say Luther defended himself nearly 500 years ago with his 95 theses. Peter's role as a leader in the Book of Acts wriiten by St Luke ,a physician before and after Saul's conversion is valid as proof to his 1st papacy and can be traced from him all the way to Pope John Paul II today, no joke, my friend.
