Here is the post which Emmanuel referred to.

It seems to be from someone whose handle is Archangel....

I don't have my sermon here with me now; but here's the
    gist of it:

In Mt. 23, Jesus is on a tirade against the Scribes and
Pharisees. He basically accuses them of 5 things:

    1. Hypocrisy
    2. Concentrating on very minor points of ceremonial law,
while ignoring the major points of the moral Law
    3. Making the external look good, while the internal is
      rotten
    4. Self-righteousness
    5. Spreading their errors abroad

It was interesting to me, looking back, that all 5 of
these symptoms can be found in modern fundamentalism.
Fundamentalists place so much emphasis on external
standards of dress, music, etc., but think nothing of
harboring bitterness and anger. They judge their own
churches, and others, by their own contrived standards
rather than by the Word of God (or the Church that He
established :)). And of course they are Fiercely
   evangelistic.

I think there's a lot of reason to believe that
   fundamentalists are the modern-day Pharisees.

So in summary, according to Archangel:

"I think there's a lot of reason to believe that
   fundamentalists are the modern-day Pharisees."

Is this "your" message to us Emmanuel?

All I see here is the personal bias and opinion of one man towards fundamentalists. It seems rather prejudice and without and support other than "I think...."

Is there a point that you are trying to make with this?

Maybe you should expound on this OK?

Your Brother in Christ
