Emmanuel, "I have already shown those supporting verses from the bible to you all because you guys also subscribe to Sola Scriptura." Let me say this. The verses you suppied as support for the practice of blessing objects like you are suggesting do not really support this practice at all. In Acts 19:11-12 the Scriptures says that: 11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: 12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them These were "special miracles" not common practice. This verse no more "supports" this blessing of objects than the man in the moon. How in the world can you say that his supports "blessing of objects". This is a record of the special events that happened at the hands of Paul. Emmanuel, NONE of the verses you supplied have anything to do with blessing of objects. They are all out of context. I merely gave you my opinion on the practice becauese it was not specifically forbidden and gave some other qualifications. Brother, You should be more careful and have more respect for the Word of God than to twist it like this to fit your agenda. If you want to do something like bless an object go ahead. But please ....... spare me the out of context Bible quotes. God Bless, Bill |
