Though I do not believe that the Food Laws apply to us, because of our new covenant with Christ, through His outpouring of His blood. Yet, I am challenged to find out more on this whole issue, because the Messianic Jews, on the other hand, hold strong views that Gentiles and Jews should still observe such Laws. The reason for my curiosity, lies with the fact many churches do not address this, but they do address things like Tithes and Offerings? I wish to be wholistic in my approach of the Bible, and do not wish to cut and paste what I desire to listen to and what I don't. Secondly, I have recently found myself debating on this. My friend comes from the stand that Christ came only to correct the misconception of the Laws (this is how he interprets to fulfil it), not to abolish it, and hence Food Laws are still to be observed, as did the rest of the Apostles. Could we bring this up as theological discussion, by giving both sides of the coin with relevant references, and in the light of this matter, discover how we might address this aspect as an impact to us being Christians who are under the covenant of Christ? God bless, royston |
