Dear Friends of Agora
From the time of our inception, we have provided forums on Agora to serve the community of Christ and have tried to allow freedom of expression without any hindrance of identity. We were aware of the possible problems that we would encounter and had hoped that good sense and forbearance would prevail.
We are aware that in length of time, we have also attracted the participation of different groups of people who have used the lax controls on Agora and abused this service to propagate their agenda. With the escalation of "anonymous" entries over the pass months and the number of complaints that have been registered with us, it is appropriate that we exercise some form of control on the usage of Agora. We are introducing an accountability measure that will require you to register via your email account before being permitted to participate in any of the forums.

We wish to assure those of you who wish to stay "anonymous" that this is still possible even when you register as a participant. You may choose a pseudo-name and decide whether you wish to have your identity and contact made known to the public. All you need to do check on the box which shows "Do not show my Email address in messages or member lists." Once you have signed up, you will also have the flexibility of deleting your own entry as you deem fit.
