Prophecies

I am not against Charismatics/Pentecostals ; I believe there is a place for this in the church. What I am not comfortable with is when Prophecies are allowed to be said so freely. In my cell-life experience, we always have someone who ask fellow members to ask a word from God, to share the Word, to give a word of Prophecy. Then there are those who are years ahead of me in cell-life who explains that we need to hone our prophecy skills. I ask myself, how to accept this when most of the time, well, almost all the time , this prophecies do not come to past, or they are so vague that they can fill a dozen situations. I believe the God of the Bible is right on target on prophecies. And this are really getting out of hand when even the congregation is numb to the fact when prophecies from the pulpit do not come to past ; which did not come from the Lord. If we have the fear of the Lord, then we should be careful of how we open our mouth to speak his word. I am not here to degrade anybody, but this are happening today ; is it becoming an accepted trend? I pray not.
