Hi Folks...
thanks for continuing this thread... As for the pledge used during offering time, I was one of those who was disturbed by its usage. But this has stopped since this year. I give FCBC the credit if they realise the controversies that it has caused. As usual FCBC does not give any statement or reason for some of its action. It just happens that this "offering pledge" just withered away, and nobody seems to ask why ? Or maybe there was a reason and I have not heard from it. Its not an issue now, If the church had intentionally removed it for the good of everybody, I believe it is in the right direction, I will not fret over this matter. Today I chanced upon a Touch Community Services Van , it makes me realise how visible this church is in the community. Okay, so our mission is not just charity, but FCBC had made it into a very known & visible force in our society. Help and compassion with no strings attached. For that it is very commendable for its effort to bring the good name of Christ, to exalt this name. Turn on your radio and you do hear the community services that TCS had ventured into , all this to touch the hearts of society at large. Yes, the message of Christ is salvation and also love. How to love unconditionally... here I think FCBC had made inroads. I am not part of TCS actively.. but as a general public this is what I see.. As for prophecies, well if we remember, they were really prophecies made with a deadline (something like 3 months?) with many details ( nearly the whole sermon time was used to focus on the BANK God was going to give FCBC) Still ... FCBC may still be after God's Heart.. I am not agree all the time though.. but still...
