We can pray but it is up to God to heal. This has always been the cessationist's position....
Frank:When we pray,and request God to heal somebody,are we expecting answers from Him to stretch His hands and heal and work those miraculous works or are we playing games?
Did not Lord Jesus exhorted us to pray,"Let your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven?" Do we pray with uncertainty as to whether He would perform Healings for my fellow Christian,loved ones or friends?
Or do we not pray that He would stretch forth His hands and heal?And do we expect Him to answer in accordance to our requests?
Do we pray with Faith,and pray with full assurance,base on His promises to deliver the sick?
Do we pray with confusions,and cannot ascertain His desires to heal the sick just the same desires He had had for the lost, always?
For those who still haven't found Him,let me show you some truths. 1,We must know our God,and He is our Father.Approaching the sick,I always know that He will always love them and desire to heal them. 2,We have to decide to obey the scriptures,and believe His atonement is for real and for our sickness.Satan will try you and would empty God's promises for you just like what he did to Adam,and crushed those who are weak minded. 3,The thing that pleases God is our Trust,our Faith and our perseverance.I have shown before that those who shrink back from their Faith and from their patience,will forfeit what God has instore for them.
4,People who pray with uncertainty to God and let God handle according to His sovereign will may seem sound.But the scriptures never say so.The Bible told us to pray and demand like the poor widow over the unrighteous Judge.The Bible told us to assert our right,for the righteous are as bold as a lion.The timid,the weak hearted,the cowardly and for those who shrink back from Faith ,and those who cannot pray with Faith to start with...some growing up is a must for them.
5,If you know the Father's heart,His consistencies in healing the sick since the days of Christ,He will do it again.
The Sick....Healings belong to us.Salvation belong to us.God is our Father.Jesus is the same yesterday,today and forever. God is still,'I am the Healer".
You do not bring the sick to the healer,or ask the Healer with uncertainty as to whether it is His sovereign Will to heal or not.You confess that it is His will to heal and heal now!
So,we demand our rights to be reinstated.The Devil would fight you,and deny your rights.How you emerges as a conqueror depend on yourself,and help you may receive from support around you.
To Him who Overcome...To him who triumph...Have Faith in God. Please never teach again,"""Have confusions with God.""" ""Please doubt God on His Wills,for we do not know whether He would heal or not."""
And please do not tell us that.Please tell us that He is good and willing and able and is a healer and let us all seek Him and find rest,and help in times of need.
Let us be firm and agree with the Lord Jesus,that we shall lay hands on the sick and they will recover;and the sick must also learn this truths,"Jesus can,will and able to heal today,just like yesteryears."
So place your Faith in Him.And do not shrink back.Go on!!! You decide which voices you must listen!
