YOU: You do not bring the sick to the healer,or ask the Healer with uncertainty as to whether it is His sovereign Will to heal or not.You confess that it is His will to heal and heal now!
ME: Is that so, Frank? Do you always do that? And how do you explain those cases where you confessed that it is His will to heal and heal now, where you were absolutely certain it is His sovereign Will to heal BUT IN THE END, the person remained sick? Is your antenna out of order?

ME: Romans 8 spells out a wonderful truth for us, "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"
He has already given us all things. He has promised to heal but not all physical illnesses and everytime while we are here. The bible simply does not say so.
I'd rather submit to God's will for my life - be it a thorn in my flesh or riches in my pocket - and trust that "I'm in His hands". Sickness or poverty will not change my mind about who God is and about His love for me - "He that spared not his own Son".

ME: Wrong Frank. Cessationists do not teach such thing. Instead we say - if God is for you, who can be against you? Just as Job was put through suffering for a greater good, God has our greater good in His mind when He decides not to heal. God's will is NOT that we are always healthy and well while living here, His will is that we shall live eternally with Him.
YOU: And please do not tell us that.Please tell us that He is good and willing and able and is a healer and let us all seek Him and find rest,and help in times of need.
ME: It is the bible that teaches us to seek Him but the bible does not teach us to demand. It teaches us to have faith, sure, but it also says, "If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it." (John 14:14), not "If ye shall ask any thing, I will do it", but to ask it in His name. To ask in His name, is to ask according to His will, for His glory. Do you not believe that we can glorify God in our infirmities, Frank?
