I will give you my opinion. I do not think the day of the week is important. What's important is not "when we fellowship" but "that we fellowship"
To me the particular day or days of the week that we attend Church is not an "essential doctrine". In the book of Acts the believers met "daily."
Acts 2: 46-47 (KJV)
46. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47. Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Acts 5:42 (KJV)
42. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
