John F Macarthur,or Chris'posts,:Once Christ's work was finished, the apostles had the task of proclaiming and recording his message in Scripture. To authenticate their work, God gave them the ability to do miracles of healing and casting out demons. Nothing in the New Testament indicates that anyone other than Jesus did miracles of nature. The apostles never created food, stilled the sea, or walked on water by themselves. (When Peter walked on water – one time – Jesus was present and helped him. Nothing suggests he ever repeated the experience.)
Frank:I challenge the above flawed anaylsis, again. " Nothing in the New Testament indicates that anyone other than Jesus did miracles of nature""" Frank:By boldly stating about the above,I offer my challenge and proofs irrefutable for John F. Macarthur, and all. Acts 8;29,30, Then the Spirit said to Philip,"Go near and overtake this Chariot. So Philip ran. Is that not a miracle of nature,as Philip could run faster than a Chariot?Don't come and tell me that the Chariot were very slowly trotting. Philip may not walk on water, but he could out ran a Chariot,it was really something for Olympic. Verse 39..."Philip now had fly upwards, greater than walking on water. And Jesus was not present to help him!" The Spirit of God whisked him away, and to another place;better than an aeroplane!Philip was now in Azotus. Our God is living.
