Emmanuel,
I am too tired today to take you to task to say that a Christian must seek confirmation and approval from his "priest" for what he understands from Scriptures.
What Joe or any other Christian must do is not to look to any man as infallible interpreter for none exists but to study Hebrew and Greek thoroughly to understand what the authors intended to mean originally. The authors wrote in human language understood easily by the recipients of their works, not in some esoteric form.
I think you should be careful of promoting RC dogmas here. I would like to see how other Protestants react to your bait. I want to avoid drawn out debates unless it is absolutely necessary.
