# RICH BABYLON IN PROPHECY The Bible did not say that Babylon will "dominate the word financially" or is a financial power house. However the Bible did said that Babylon has "great riches" (Rev 18:17) and she buys merchandise from "merchants of the earth" (Rev 18:11) and "the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies" (Rev 18:3). The Bible also did not state that Babylon is a "number 1 in armed power." Neither did the Bible states that Babylon need to be able to "execute economy sanction on nations through UN." We must not make assumptions of what Babylon will be doing when the Bible does not specify them nor hinted about them. Can a nation be rich but have no mighty military power? Think about the Japan of today. # DISPENSATION OF THE GRACE OF GOD Dispensation of the grace of God commenced with the salvation of apostle Paul (1 Tim 1:13-16) and ends with the catching up of the member of the body of Christ (1 Thess 4:17). After that, prophetic program will start again, covering the tribulation period (including the prophecies in Rev 17 and 18) and the millennial kingdom period. In the dispensation of the grace God, no prophecies of the prophetic program will be fulfilled. Prophecies of the prophetic program will only be fulfilled within the prophetic program time line. Concerning the issue about the intepretation of the sign of the temple, I responded to it in a new thread, http://www.antioch.com.sg/cgi-bin/Agora-Pub/get/expressions/245.html, titled "Understood Not and Perceived Not Because Hidden." |
