Hi,

You, like the majority of christians, assume Matthew 24:15 will happen sometime in the future. Matthew 24 is a parallel of Mark 13. Read it carefully and note that all those things are to fulfilled in one generation as Jesus said. Note, these prophecies were told by Jesus to His diciples privately and note Matthew 24:34 which says, "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things are fulfilled."

In understanding such things a knowledge of history is of superme importance and so you'll have to proceed slowly and patiently with confidence. Can't just follow the crowd. Also you'll have to think a lot to try and fit all the bits and pieces in Bibilical prophecies with history. Then it will make sense to you.

Take care and God Bless.
