Mtt 24:3-41 What shall be the sign of thy coming, ..? v. 3 The big question was when is Christ coming back and what sign to look out for v. 4 …Take heed that no man deceive you …v. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows There will be tribulations but this is only the beginning. You can expect false Christs, wars and rumours of wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes but the Lord will not be appearing yet. All these will just signify the beginning of the 7 year Tribulation period. v.15 … ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place … This will take place in the middle of Tribulation when the Anti-Christ will come back from the dead with supernatural power and set himself up to be worshipped as God in the temple of Jerusalem. Dan 9:24-27, Dan 11: 31,36, Rev 13: 3-8, 12 See also my notes under “Mtt 24:15 The abomination of desolation” What should the faithful kingdom saints do at this time? v.16 Let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains … v.21 …then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world, to this time, no, nor ever shall be Will Christ return at this point? No, not yet v. 23-28 Then if any man shall say unto you , Lo, here is Christ, or there, believe it not v.29-30 Immediately after the tribulation of those days, … they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory Christ will return at the end of the 7 year Tribulation period There will be mourning because He is coming in His wrath. v. 32-34 Now learn a parable of the fig tree … This is not the 1948 event of the formation of the nation of Israel. This “generation” I believe is the generation that will see the putting forth of leaves of the fig tree in the Tribulation period. v.35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away Christ will certainly return to judge the earth. No stopping Him. v.36 “ .. of that day and hour” don’t speculate because only the Father knows v.37-41 The return of Christ to earth will be like in the days of Noah. In what ways? For one thing, it will be a time of judgment. Just as in the days of Noah, people who disbelieved were taken away by the flood in judgment, at this coming of Christ, disbelievers will also be taken away in judgment: v. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. |

Hi LBS, It's okay. The main problem with prophecy is to fix the timing of the event. n/t by Interested , 2001, Oct 09
