Emmanuel,
This question posed by ES was:
"what is the doctrines of devils according to the Word?" I think that this was posed as a "challenge" to define "doctrines of devils" according to it's scriptural usage, rather than a traditional or commonly understood definition. The question asumes or possibly requires the use of Sola Sriptura (only scripture) theology to respond. That is the idea that scripture interprets scripture. Using Sola Scriptura, tradition and private interpretation hold no weight in regards to interpretation. By using scripture to understand terminology such as "doctrines of devils" or "saved by grace" or "fallen from grace" etc., we can see what the bible iteself says about these terms. Many times we find that tradition, myth, or established doctrine(teaching) predisposes what the scriptures really say. Much of Christian terminology is non-biblical. This is neither right nor wrong. But by examining the scriptures to test doctrine we can see were we may be in error. Please do not take ES post as anything more than this. ES has yet to post his/her thesis. I am waiting . . . . . God Bless, Bill
