Hi SBG,
I was about to point out verse 6. I agree with you that take away = remove. I don't think it mean discipline. God does not discipline us by burning us. Matt 7:23 is clear that even Christians will be rejected by God. Some may say that those people mentioned in Matt 7:23 are not Christians but if you read Matt 7:21-22, you can see that God know those people. They are the one who are once saints(see my definition of saint) but have since fall away or being disobedience(sin wilfully). Jesus Loves True Light
