In God's eyes, once you have accepted and believed that Christ is your Lord and Saviour. God does not see you any longer as a sinner, but a saint, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. If you were to go on, thinking yourself as being naturally aware of being a sinner, what are you going to share with those who need to hear the Good News? Then, you are still unaware of what God sees you as, because once the blood of Christ has been smeared upon you, it means by Christ has clothed you with RIGHTEOUSNESS. It is accorded to you, and you do not deserve it but still it is given to you. Which is why MERCY precedes GRACE and it is hand in hand. Your theology so far goes on the journey of doing good works but I wonder how do you achieve doing good works without realising that you are no longer a sinner in God's eyes? You are meant to be happy and excited and praising and adoring God's act of love for you. This will naturally propel and compel you to share His love with others, which will include the list stated in Isa 1:17. |
