I don't deny that we are sinners if we choose to see things using our fleshly eyes. But I sincerely believe that our Father's will is for us to look at ourselves through His spiritual eyes. I believe you agree with me that it's not a recommended practice to take a verse out of it's context and place too much emphasis on it. In this case, I would agree with Royston that we should read the verse in question in the entire context of that letter (and in all of Paul's writings). Who is the main focus in all of Paul's letters? Jesus or Paul himself? We would be greatly encouraged, edified, and empowered when we learn to focus on who Paul is focusing on, and emphaisise what Paul is emphasising. There is much peace, joy and hope in the knowledge that we are IN CHRIST and as such, we are the beloved children of our Father. Let's encourage one another to revel in such knowledge.
