"*** If we are going to discuss Oneness and Trinity, then I hope you can stick to my 3 conditions. 1) Read up what Oneness believes first lest we are accused again. Read from Oneness site if you want to know what we TRULY believes, and not from anti-oneness who is biased in their comments. The best is read all. 2) Explain the scriptures quoted by me before quoting other scriptures to support your stand. I will do the same. 3) Answer such as "it is a mystery" is not accepted except the mystery of the hypostatic union of Christ which both of us agree. To be frank to you, not many Oneness believers(after understanding what the Oneness taught about the Godhead) left the Oneness church. Those who left are those who can't accept the holiness practice. UPCI is very strict in this area. I don't see it as a problem cos it is not a salvation issue to me and I don't follow." No worries, will read as much as I possibly can on this Oneness Pentacostal stand. Ü Another good example is the issue of Cessationists vs Faith Healers. I only tried to ask questions, but did not take sides. When I went to SKS the other day, where I bought this book by this former Oneness Pentacostal's assessment, I also went to get both Jack Deere's and thomas Edgar in order to see what they are saying. I like to cover my bases, as I believe God works in ways beyond our fathom. Likewise, I will try to approach this topic as gingerly as I can possibly achieve, like I have tried with you on this issues of fruits and works. God be with you and your family, royston |
