We can agree to the fact that Pastor Lawrence Khong is obedient to God in reaching out to the lost. But can he say that God approves MOL to be seeker-sensitive else they will not be attracted or "deceived" into attending other forms of rallies? Do you still remember our beloved Dr Rev Billy Graham when he came to Singapore and packed in the people at the National Stadium. I put it to you that there is nothing magical on his part to pull them in. It is because of His uncompromising stand for the Gospel of Jesus Christ alone and through the power of the Holy Spirit that people are attracted and drawn to the National Stadium night after night to hear the pure, unmixed, unadulterated Gospel of Jesus Christ for therein, lies the power of God to save, heal and deliver men from sin and satan's clutches. It was such a phenomenal success night after night; many souls were added to the Kingdom of God. And we even witnessed miracles of God before the meetings began. There were heavy downpour even experienced floods during the daytime, but God stopped the rain when the night meetings began. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! Magic shows and the Gospel of Love should never be mixed just as darkness and light cannot mix. I have no qualms if you call it "LOVE OF MAGIC" and put up all your magic shows. PERIOD. We are looking for true conversion whereby sinners sincerely are seeking for the answers in the gospel of Jesus Christ not "deceived" into attending gospel meetings. We need the likes of Apostle Paul in our days to declare as he declares in 1 cor 2:1-5,
And I, brethren, when I come to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.
For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.
And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.
that your faith should not be in the WISDOM OF MEN, but in the POWER OF GOD. Let's face it. What kind of people are you attracting to the magic shows? The sinners who are sincerely seeking for answers to their problem of sin or sinners who are seeking to be entertained to satisfy the lust of their eyes. Or worst still, they are Christians from the LOVE SINGAPORE network of churches who are just supporting to help pay for the hugh expenses arising from staging such a "Las Vegas" type of magical presentation in Singapore. Anybody care to supply the statistics for the recently staged MOL. Let's return to God and do it His way! God have mercy on us,
