You say you are not judging, but I doubt not that already your so-called opinion is influencing how you regard Christians in mental or emotional difficulty, as you seem to think of them as simply being 'lacking in faith.'
Your "opinion", to say the least, is a mental act of condemning your brethren. On Interested, I believe what he means is that as with the Pharisees, there are Christians who think that others, who for whatever reason, are lacking in purity, joy, ease of spiritual life, and fruitfulness are thus because of their own fault or some spiritual oversight. By pre-condemning the afflicted (silently and aloud) when uncritical mercy and aid - or at least a listening, sympathetic ear - should be granted, such people render a gross disservice to both the sufferer and He who would accept them into his arms as they are. These are truly Job's comforters indeed!
