Hi Keith,

My message was to sincere Christians who have a desire for the Lord Jesus Christ (I believe Wah Shing is one) – to tell them not to be discouraged by the confusion that surrounds the Word of God but press on with the study of His Word for that’s what God expects of us. Not to be discouraged into focusing on just the simple things, but to press on to maturity in the Word, again because that’s what God says to do. Indepth understanding of His Word is what God expects of believers. The more we truly understand Scriptures, the more we will stand in awe of God and His Word. Like the Pharisees, the problem is not spending too much time in the Scriptures. They were never rebuked by Christ for spending too much time in the Scriptures. They were rebuked for disbelieving the Scriptures.

My message was not intended primarily for those who have no desire for the Lord Jesus Christ. As you said even pastors and ministers are guilty of this. There may be a chance that an indepth study of God’s Word may help them; it may not.
